Dura One™ is a revolutionary invention developed by LuTech LLC, in which a durable adherent coating has the following individual and/or combined features of:
TopBond™ (or Top Bond™): The adherent coating bonds with the exterior surfaces or top layers of a bio-based substrate.
X-bond™: The adherent coating has a crosslinking bonding feature at the interface with the substrate.
Top X-Bond™: The formed coating film seals the exterior surfaces of the substrate with the feature of crosslinking chemical bonds.
HybKoat™ (or HyKoat™): The coating film also includes a hybrid coating structure in which the adherent coating works as a primer, while a regular paint acts as a top coat or top coating layer.
Lockup™: A functional chemical like a preservative or fire retardant is tightly locked up in the substrate underneath the adherent coating film.
Also, the adherent coating itself is durable in a natural environment. By combining Dura TopBond™ (or Dura Top Bond™), Dura X-bond™, Dura Top X-Bond™, Dura HybKoat™ (or Dura HyKoat™), and Dura Lockup™, the protective film formed on the exterior surfaces of solid wood, wood composites, textile fabrics, and other bio-based products or materials provides super bonding performance, excellent water and UV light resistances, and enhanced durability to these products.
